Wet-Mix Shotcreting
With the wet-mix shotcreting method (also called dense phase conveying method) the mortar is mechanically transported to the spray nozzle. The MICROTOP wet-mix shotcreting mortar is mixed in pan type mixer and transported by means of screw conveyor under pressure through the hose and shot at high speed onto the application area. For this purpose compressed air is injected directly at the spray nozzle. The distance between spray nozzle and application area should be around 30 – 50 cm.
The wet-mix method with MICROTOP shotcrete mortar characterizes by a constant water cement value and a minor dust development.
