75 years ago, a year after the foundation of KORODUR, the company group Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar was founded in 1937. The Al-Bahar Group ranges among the leading companies in the Arab Gulf Region. There are two main divisions, the General Trading Group in Kuwait and the Mechanical Engineering Group with the general representation of Caterpillar for the countries Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Oman, the latter founded in 1959.

Caterpillar is the world-wide leading producer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines as well as diesel-electric locomotives. Caterpillar machinery equipment is designed for the toughest stress. The fact that KORODUR industrial floors for decades already have resisted the heaviest stress challenge is well known to the Al-Bahar Group. Since 1984 in the Gulf Region Caterpillar workshops have been installed with KORODUR industrial floors (KORODUR WH Metallic) with best success. Ever since these areas have been exposed to the most severe stress with heavy Caterpillar equipment and still today don’t show any affects.

Therefore, for Al-Bahar it was clear from the beginning to choose again a KORODUR industrial floor for the new
Caterpillar Workshop in Abu Dhabi. On an area of approx. 1.500 sqm the KORODUR premix product NEODUR HE 65 metallic was installed in 2010/2011.

Not only in the Gulf Region, but also in South America, South East Asia and Europe, for decades and for good reason, Caterpillar decided for any new construction project to install a KORODUR industrial floor.
