The Hornbach Group is currently including eight hardware stores in the Czech Republic: 2 stores in Prague, each one in Ostrava Vitkovice, Pilsen, Olomouc, Ostrava, Hradec Králové and Brno. The store in Brno was opened in 1999 and since then has been in constant use. Considering the stress by the expected high pedestrian traffic but also by regular pallet movements on the areas, a KORODUR hard aggregate industrial floor was favored.

On the still fresh base concrete, a KORODUR hard aggregate topping was installed by the Czech specialist Largo Spol. – flooring area 5.600 m². The KORODUR hard aggregate screed was applied in a thickness of in middle 10 mm to meet the requirements of DIN 18560, part 7, table 1, stress group medium.

It is certainly due to the correct estimate of the design engineers regarding the expected stress in a hardware store and the consequently taken decision to install a hard aggregate floor that this area, after almost 20 years of permanent use, still is in absolutely perfect condition.
