The outline planning for the reconstruction of the train station plaza was developed by several urban planning and engineering offices joining in an urban ideas workshop. The new face of the plaza with short-stay parking in Landau should be oriented to the design of the Ostbahnstrasse.
For the floor design anthracite colored concrete slabs were selected. To highlight the connection to the Ostbahnstrasse, yellow strips were laid in between. Parts of these yellow strips were provided with a guiding system for visually impaired. For the grouting of the concrete slabs a qualified and easy to process paving grout was specified – joint width 8 -10 mm, joint depth 30 mm. The assigned company Grötz opted for the KORODUR pavement fixing grout NEODUR PFM-1 K Easyfix in grey color.
NEODUR PFM-1 K Easyfix is a ready-mixed, vacuum packed paving joint grout which is used for the repointing and restoration of paved areas. The grouted stone surface remains nearly resin film free. After about a year of use, the paved areas resp. the joints grouted with NEODUR PFM-1 K Easyfix look as on the first day after the pointing – no cracks, no breakouts, no contamination.
True to the KORODUR motto “quality creates safety”.
