Joints in industrial floors are subject to extreme stress and must be durably protected. The design of the joints as sine curve guarantees the uninterrupted contact of industrial trucks with the joint profile and thus vibration-free driving over. To ensure smooth logistical operation, damage to the joints must be repaired promptly. Well running logistical operation is a major concern in the numerous logistics and distribution centers.

In the logistics hall of a well-known food discounter in northern Germany, a sinusoidal heavy-duty joint was due for renovation in as short a time as possible.

First, the damaged areas along the joint were cut out to a depth of approx. 20 mm, cleaned and pre-wet. The flanks were pre-treated with the primer KORODUR PC. The multipurpose repair mortar Rapid Set MORTAR MIX SVS 5 (with wearing aggregates) was mixed with the required amount of water to achieve a firm-pasty consistency and then applied at the exact height. The surfaces were smoothed and cured with water.

After just 2 hours, the joints were ready for heavy-duty traffic and the logistics operation continued unhindered.
