By opening a new logistics center in Guangzhou, Daimler Northeast Asia Parts Trading and Services Co., Ltd. (DPTS), responsible for the after sales parts logistics of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, vans and trucks, has taken another major step forward in providing an efficient spare parts distribution solution for its customers across China.
It is already Daimler’s second distribution center which was provided with a NEODUR HE 65 light-grey industrial floor. In 2013, in Kunshan, close to Shanghai, a similar project in a size of 32.000 m² was provided with the same NEODUR quality. The light-grey coloring of the NEODUR material provides not only a friendly and bright atmosphere inside, but contributes at the same time to save energy costs due to the savings in light consumption.
DPTS is part of Daimler’s worldwide logistics network, with the company’s Global Logistics Center in Germersheim, Germany, the largest warehouse for automotive spare parts worldwide, at its core.
The new logistics center in Guangzhou with its size of 36.000 m² boosts DPTS’ total warehouse capacity to around 170.000 m². The logistic centers together dispatch and deliver more than 3,5 million spare parts per year to dealers all over China. At present DPTS is serving 325 Mercedes-Benz passenger car dealers, plus another 52 Mercedes-Benz van and 34 truck outlets, altogether in 196 cities across China.
