In Suzhou, a city of 4 million people, located about 100 km north-west of Shanghai, another architecturally impressive building complex was completed in 2013: two giant office towers connected through a serpentine, 5-storey shopping mall. Builder owner is the Phoenix Media Group.
The Phoenix Media Mall rises close vicinity to the probably most famous skyscrapers Suzhou’s:
“The Gate of the East” or jokingly called „The Pair of Long Johns”.

For the interior design, the owner opted for a modern and light-filled concept. This design also relates to the floor, a TRU Self-Leveling design floor in polished terrazzo optics.

The TRU floor was designed and installed in curved fields, running into each other, in the colors champagne, cappuccino and mocha. The TRU material was optically refined by adding white marble grain. Due to the unique formulation of TRU Self-Leveling, this design floor can be laid nearly without joints. Polishing is possible already 24 hours after installation. Thus the Phoenix Media Mall could be opened already one week later.
