Project Description

Bridges are subject to enormous stresses particularly due to weather conditions such as heat and precipitation. But also deicing salts can severely stress cementitious surfaces and erode the cement paste. This may lead to potential tripping hazards on the walkways and in the worst case to severe damage of the whole structure.

In the present case, the surface was prepared and roughened using demolition hammer, the loose debris removed, thoroughly wet and then coated with MORTAR MIX in a 2 cm thick layer. The surface finish can vary, e.g. broom finish or smoothening. During the setting phase, a water mist was applied. Already approx. 1 hour after the application the surface could be released for use.
