The company apt Extrusions from Monheim am Rhein manufactures high-quality aluminum products around the clock on almost 20,000 m². Due to the heavy loads caused by forklift traffic, numerous damaged areas and ruts have arisen over an area of ​​around 400 m².

At the turn of the year 2021 / 2022, a production interruption was planned for revision work at apt, during which there was a time window for the repair work.

On December 30th and 31st the damaged floor was removed, the subsoil was prepared, the surface was shuttered and the concrete was placed and processed. A total of 42 m³ of KOROCRETE quick-drying concrete was delivered and mixed by the company Mörtel Mich using a volumetric concrete mixing plant, which works as a mobile concrete plant and produces the fresh concrete at the push of a button directly on the construction site.

KOROCRETE rapid concrete was applied, compacted and leveled onto the mineral bonding agent HB 5 rapid. The surface could then be finished after approx. 1 hour using mechanical smoothing machines.

Already in the early morning hours of January 3rd, 2022, production at apt could be resumed and heavy-duty forklifts could drive on the new areas.

At the turn of the year 2022 / 2023, the production downtime was used again to renovate additional areas with KOROCRETE.
